V-Lite users - note this...

When you try to install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2), you (may) receive the following error message:

Quote:

Service Pack installation cannot continue
One or more system components that the service pack requires are missing.

Quote:

This problem occurs because system components that are required to install Windows Vista SP2 are not present on your computer.

However, a common reason for this problem is that the vLite software was used to customize the Windows Vista installation and some required system components were removed.

Well, I just tried to install it and got this...

I used V-Lite to slipstream SP1 and the only components removed were the language packs. Now SP2 is refusing to install

What sucks is I just reinstalled Vista like 5 days ago.

So has anyone found a way around this...other than an OS reinstall per the instructions mentioned previously in my earlier post...basically a non-V-Lite OS reinstall.

Everything is fine except for vistaglazz1.1 and I have to wait for the version which is compatible with SP2. I am not bitter.

i have just one small question ... i downloaded the full Vista SP2 64-bit ISO the same one at the MSDN by torrent

dose it contain the same SP2 released by Microsoft ??
