Solved Computer crashing and screen becoming full of green lines

Turn on your speakers and boot the computer. Do you hear any sounds, such as the Windows tune? This will tell you if computer is booting but not shown on the monitor.

Ya, nothing. I hear the fan come on, and then my caps lock and scroll lock lights blink on and off then it shuts down after about 5 minutes XD

Sounds like its a hardware problem, now. When you took the computer apart you may have caused some additional problems.

Fantastic anything you can suggest I try and fix? I'm pretty good with software for computers but hardware wise I don't know really anything so it's certainly possible I messed putting it back together proper

If you just opened it and cleaned the fan, gently, you may have touched a wire or loosened something. Just, gently, make sure that everything is snug.
I would not do more than that or you may have bigger problems.
Does seem strange that after you opened the computer new problems began.
Memory sticks must be snug or there will be problems.

You could perhaps revisit this Manual which should give good pointers to hardware maintenance operations.
See if there are any hints to the problem.
Meanwhile I'll look into further research.

Replacing a graphics driver shouldn't stop your bios from working. With sound enabled did you get any beeps when you turned on the computer, if so what were they as they are error codes.
Opening a laptop was pretty brave, there is not much room in there, did you displace something or pinch a cable. Try removing the ram and reinstalling it to eliminate that.

Alrighty, update time.
So I went and undid everything I did when I took my laptop apart and reput it back together extremely carefully (well kinda back together) and I went to turn it on and the computer started up! I say kinda back together because I haven't put the cover, screen, keyboard or mousepad thingy on because i honnestly didn't expect it to work, so now i have a sort of zombie looking laptop.
So, now it seems we're back to a software problem. When I started it up, it succesfully ran through the complete system recovery and I thought i was home free until the very last step my copmuter shut down! XD!!! and now when I turn it back on it runs and says that the installation was unsuccessful do to an unexpected shut down.
So I then went and installed the vista installation disks I have and yet again, i got to the VERY LAST STEP and my computer shut down! and again when i go to start my computer it says the same message.
Now the only thing I can think of happening is my computer is trying its hardest to come back from the dead but the devil has a firm grip on my poor'ol tablet.
So, if any of you have a way to best the devil, or a more intelectual approach to fixing my computer at this point, let me know and I will love you forever!!!!!!

Ok, so after about the fourth time is installing my vista cd´s my computer finally made it through to completion and is actually running now.
But of course there are problems.
Under device manager i have yellow marks next to
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Braodcom 802.11n Network Adapter
Realtek RTL8168-8111 Family PCI/E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS6.0)
And two Unknown Devices

Those yellow marks are indications of problems with those cards. Usually they just need an updated driver.
See if drivers can be updated or just reinstalled. That is the usual cause.

Yep. I was able to download them on a different computer and transfer them to my laptop.
I'm hesitant to say that my computer is somehow actually working properly.
