BSOD Causing LOTS of Problems!

STOP 0x0000009F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE Usual causes: Device driver

You updated driver?
You took driver verifier
Keeps turning out the same
Lets be sure its not memory that causes this driver to cause BSOD

Download memtest86 and test RAM
www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
Run for 8 passes
If passes try a good stick in each slot for 3 passes
If fails do the same for 8 passes.

Actually I should clarify. The BSOD came on shut down, not start up, so I may have misled you. Sorry about that.

That's correct, I unchecked everything through system config, started the reboot, then the shutting down screen lagged, leading to the BSOD.

I still feel that its a driver. YOur dump report did not indicate that the BSODs were caused by the verifier. Take it for 48 hours.

To possibly avoid the test, do this
type cmd in search
right click run as administrator
in cmd type verifier /query.
Give me the names of the drivers
If no drivers back to verifier.

Well, here's the latest dump with three BSOD reports, hopefully this will shed some light on the matter.

Was the verifier being used when these BSODs occurred?

The reports keep giving the same cause. Even with verifier, the cause comes out the same. It is interesting to note that the problem was not the result of verifier in the last round of tests.
This indicates that either you did not enable the verifier correctly (lets assume this is not the case)
or another problem is causing the BSODs and the breakdown of your graphics driver.
Lets try a GOU test and see if that leads to anything
Are you sure you are not overheating?

If it does not crash, your ok.
Did you do it properly
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/test-graphics-card-stability-furmark-gaming/

Maybe overheating is causing the problem
Try speed fan to record temp
http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Im very surprised that the verifier or the gpu did not result in a meaningful answer. If you have any doubt as to the correct application of the tests. Tell me and we can do it over. If we missed something in these test, it will take a while to diagnose this.

Remove grahics card and then reseat it.

I want to be 100% sure of the validity of these tests the final remedy is a new card.

Code 9F is usually caused when booting, waking etc. Did you notice this to be hapening during any change in power?

The DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD's came when shutting down, also with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. The others were on restart. Also, I keep a close eye on my temperature as a rule anyway, I run Everest on my computer fairly regularly just so I can monitor things like the temp.

Could a hard drive error cause this?

Here is the official definition of 9F
0x0000009F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
A driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. Typically occurs during events that involve power state transitions, such as shutting down, or moving into or out of standby or hibernate mode

My next move was to consider this a 116 code which allows for more possiblities.

STOP 0x00000116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR Usual causes: Video driver, overheating, bad video card, ?BIOS, ?Power to card

STOP 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR troubleshooting - Windows 7 Forums

Even with this broad definition hard drive is not included.

But why overlook anything, take a hard drive test
